Apr 23, · Fear of Music, the third album by Talking Heads, begins at maximum velocity and minimum warmth. Congas, funk guitar, chirping synths: Everything is in motion, and yet curiously, nothing seems to be.

Though their 3rd album was musically distinct from its predecessors, it's mostly because of the use of minor keys that give the music a more ominous sound. Previously, David Byrne's offbeat observations had been set off by an overtly humorous tone; on 'Fear of Music', he is still odd, but no longer so funny. At the same time, however, the music has become even more compelling.

Also, thus album is weird with songs like Animal and Air, it’s one of those albums where there’s nothing liking it. This album does suffer from a weak ending though, despite surreal it is, I’m not a real big fan of Drugs, and Electric Guitar is meh, though everything else is great, plus it has one of Talking Heads’s best songs, AKA Heaven.
